Question:
"Can you recommend, if possible a one stop resource, to keep up-to-date with Info-sec news and researchs and new threats and tools etc?"
My answer:
There is no single solution. You need to combine many activities together such as:
- follow some information security bloggers (bloggers' names would depend on your interest in a specific information security sub-field),
- follow information security tweets
- subscribe to mailing lists or e-mail notification(SANS, CERT, MS) lists for new report releases
- become a member of a society of your interest
- get involved in the local Chapters (e.g. ISACA and ISSA) for their information security activities (luncheons, seminars etc)
- follow the publications of ISACA, ISSA, ISC2, SANS, ACM, and IEEE
- follow the newly published books through amazon.* and read the ones you are interested in
- become a member of information security groups in LinkedIn and follow the discussions
- listen to the podcasts and webinars
- watch hands-on information security videos for specific topics or conference sessions at youtube
- attend the security conference(locally or internationally) (if you can) or follow the conference websites for the topics to be covered.
